We were so happy that Sara got to go home Friday, May 10th!

Sara’s Mom, Jeanetter, arrived on Sunday May 12th, Mother’s Day. She flew in from Michigan for a 2-week stay.

We had a little bit of a baby-related scare this week when I started spotting on Friday afternoon. It was super light, but then it picked up on Saturday evening and I passed a small clot. I tried going to urgent care on Sunday morning, but they didn’t have an ultrasound machine and said there really wasn’t anything they could do to confirm the pregnancy was still okay. I decided not to go to the ER because I was afraid insurance wouldn’t consider it an urgent matter and wouldn’t cover the visit. Luckily, I stopped spotting by Sunday evening.

On Monday morning I went in to get my bloodwork rechecked and everything looked okay.

I went back to work this week which was a little tough. I did inform my boss about the pregnancy so that she would know what all was going on. It’s earlier than people normally tell work, but since I would be having to take time for both Sara and myself, I thought she should be aware. She was very understanding.
